Music tutorial

Hey all, is someone able to link me a basic tutorial on how to do background music for a game in C?

I just can't seem to find anything of the sort. I can do sounds, but not background music and I'm somewhat clueless as to exactly how you go about doing that. Like, how does one use GBT player or whatever its called.
