Modding my GBA

I have a GBA. But I want to mod it some.

What I want to do is:
1.Increase memory to 64 Gigabytes.
2.Get a ARM7EJ-S processor and put it in the GBA.
3.Get a better screen.
4.Backlight everything- keys, screen, and everything else.
5.Put a rechargeable battery in it. One that I don't have to remove.
6.If possible, put a better speaker in it.
7.Just for fun, a flashlight.
8.A solar panel that can slide out to recharge said battery.

How do I get started?

Re: Modding my GBA

If you are not familiar with electronic circuits, I don't think it's possible to do 1-3...
I'm not quiet sure if it's possible at all to get a better screen with the original Mainboard...

Backlights are easy to do, a rechargeable battery is possible, too. But keep in mind, most of them are 3.7 to 4.2 volts, and your gba is running with 3volts. But it's possible.
Speakers, yes, why not. Flashlight, why not.

A build in solar panel.  I think to charge your battery you will need a panel which is bigger than your whole gba...
So I think you may have to work with an external one
..

How do you get started :

I would start with a concept for all points, but if you want to start with something simple, do number 4.
You know how to work with LEDs? If not, start learning.

This list has been compressed to:
6. Better speakers in it.
7. Flashlight.
8. A solar panel that can detach to recharge said battery.

The reason that this is now so much shorter is because I have a DS now. Which has backlighting, a better processor, etc.

64 Gigabytes or Megabytes?

Re: Modding my GBA

I don't know a whole lot, but I'm pretty sure that the solar panel idea isn't going to work. Because from my (very) limited experience with solar panels, the small ones don't supply very much power (at least not very quickly). So you'd need a large one, but that would kind of defeat the purpose since it wouldn't be portable anymore.
