Request schematics for the GBA

I wish to learn the make-ups of a GBA´.
Like..
Is there a chip dedicated only for music in the GBA?

Also anyone with schematics for the GBA out there?

Re: Request schematics for the GBA

GBATek has some info about that. Basically the GBA sound chip has the four channels that the older models have, as well as two sample playback channels. (Intended for the left and right channel)

Re: Request schematics for the GBA

Oh yeah, the GBA schematic... This forum is actually intended more for the old school GB models, not the GBA. The reason for this (The reason why I took this initiative in the first place) is because there were really no other active dev communities for the platform. In contrast there are still active forums and actively updated resources for GBA dev.
I recommend you to ask the question about the GBA schematic in the GBADev.org forum. When you say schematic, do you mean for some special part of the GBA? The sound chip? Or the whole GBA?

There you go.

These were made by Jeff Frohwein (I presume) long ago. Found on devrs.com.

Well Awol asked about links to learn elektronics and such.
I gave some answers in this topic:

http://gameboygenius.8bitcollective.com … pid=85#p85

And if you want to learn how to read a schematic then you have to know what all symbols mean.
Wich you will understand if you learn the basics of electronics.

There are sites on the webb explaining the symbols and such, but you would still end up
having to go back to the basics of electronics anyway.
Without it one is kind of lost.
