gbdev Gameboy Coding Compo 2015 RESULTS

Hi!  I'm sorry for being far too late than is polite.  I screwed up.

Since the compo was on such short notice, I received only two entries, and those are as follows:

Touhou GB by Xephyr

Touhou GB is an early but promising Game Boy version of the Touhou games.  With two playable characters and a variety of enemies, it's already quite fun to play.  I hope you'll get some music eventually!  ;)

Geometrix is is a Gameboy version of Bejeweled!  It's an intuitive and fun puzzle game with colorful graphics and good music.  Note that you can rotate the cursor with B, for some reason I didn't think of that (probably too much Panel de Pon).  There are three game modes available.  Good fun all around!

Since there were only two entries, I will not be running any voting.  Thank you both very much!
Let me apologize again for my poor handling of this compo.  I'm not sure if I'll be trying another one in 2016.  I'd like to, but I don't know if I'm trustworthy about it any more.

Well, at least the two entries are quite good. tongue

I don't think you should feel too bad about being this slow in posting the entries, I understand that you felt disappointed that there were only 2 entries and it isn't that great to post that low participation as the result of the compo. I think the problem is that a month isn't enough to do a decent game (unless it's holidays, of course). I made the game because I had a lot of free time. I think it's better to leave this kind of things for summer, when most people can spend some time coding without problems.

Re: gbdev Gameboy Coding Compo 2015 RESULTS

I've already updated my game a bit (and corrected a lot of bugs), and I'm now looking on adding music, so this demo is probably not a good idea of what the game looks like now. I'll post the updated version once it's satisfying ^^

Anyway, as Antonio said, one month is probably a bit short compared to the last one where people had 3 months to do something. Maybe we should try to communicate a bit more about it too, I don't know?

PS : good job with your game Antonio, it's nice smile

The code is a bit messy because I did it on a hurry, but well, It's not my worst by far...
