When I signed up for this forum and changed my password from the temporary one issued in my email, Firefox gave me an insecure password warning. When I tried to hand-edit the URL from http: to https:, I got "connection refused".
I encourage the administrator to implement HTTPS so that others cannot impersonate members by snooping their passwords in transit. HTTPS requires a TLS certificate, but that's available without charge to anyone with a domain. It does not require a unique IP address except when using Internet Explorer on Windows XP.
