Gameboy Tile Designer (V2.2) Split Paste

Hi all, Gameboy Tile Designer (V2.2) Split Paste (paste from Win Clipboard) does not work for me, absolutely nothing happens and I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I have tried in Win 7 and XP also, with no result. Can anyone help me please ?

Re: Gameboy Tile Designer (V2.2) Split Paste

When I've had issues using split paste it has always been an issue with the colors I used on the tile. I normally copy the tiles from paint and use split paste into GBTD. Can you do a normal paste with an 8x8 section of what you're trying to split paste?

Hi gbjosh,
yes, normal 8x8 paste works fine from the same source image but split paste does not (it is a 160x144 bmp with 3 "colors" white black and grey)

Re: Gameboy Tile Designer (V2.2) Split Paste

ok, I have figured out what was wrong. My test image contained a lot of blank (white) tiles at the top and the tile count of my .gbr file was too low, so the split paste function actually worked but it displayed blank tiles
(I thought that tile count will increase automatically when pasting but not)
So I had to set the tile count to max before pasting and it worked.
Sorry for polluting the forum with this
