Like I Mentioned in my intro post I want to do something like this http://hackaday.com/2014/06/18/the-sega … e-dev-kit/ but for the Gameboy. I'm mostly a c programmer so am currently going through this vhdl book http://www.freerangefactory.org/site/pm … Main/Books and will probably pick up a book on digital design in the future.
My plan is to use an off the shelf FPGA board like the Mojo v3 and make a custom board to plug into it to provide the i/o to the Gameboy.
This is all just an idea at the moment and will probably take a while to get anything working. At the moment I thought I'd post up here so anyone interested can comment or if I need advice about anything I can ask.
