Is it legal to sell games I made?

Just out of curiosity, if I were to make a game and create a couple cartridges from scratch would I be aloud to sell them legally?

Re: Is it legal to sell games I made?

cartridge's such as memory pack and gb smartcard exist with custom software on it so i see not reason why it would be illegal
r if it is why Nintendo would care

The real question is how many people would buy a gameboy game nowadays?

If you think that, then don't come here.

I should think it is legal. Don't quote me on that.

As a cat said, even if it isn't, Nintendo SHOULD NOT CARE! If they don't care already, then good.

Holy necropost, Batman!
To add something worthwhile, however... Companies have tried to sue unlicensed game makers in the past, and it generally didn't work out well for the companies. As long as your homebrew doesn't contain any copyrighted characters/material (e.g. don't do a Super Mario World Redux)
One of the more well known "homebrew" was the Gameboy games published by Wisdom Tree. Mostly Christian games, they were never licensed by Nintendo, and afaik they were never attacked by Nintendo either. Also, games like LSDJ and nanoloop are still around, and popular, and Nintendo hasn't gone after them. =]

If you are super unsure, just send an email to Nintendo asking if you can. From what I here on, they generally don't care.
