What is the best way to compress gameboy music?

Are there heavily compressed and quick to execute methods?

I don't know much about writing music on the GB, but it would help others to know what tools you're using to write your music.

Are you writing your music in code? Is it assembly? GBDK? Or are you using GBT-Player?

Re: What is the best way to compress gameboy music?

Well, the best way to compress gameboy music is to... compress it with decent packer. smile I've put together some details here - Game Boy Compression Playground. It requires slightly modified replay code and available RAM - providing that "module" will fit it. Proof of concept would be my Lumberjack game. Title tune shrinked from 3466 to 919 bytes. There's no "one click" automated solution, everything is usually handcrafted asm.
